The easiest way to start experimenting with Linux is to install the operating system to run within Parallels. So if you have an older PC or Mac and are willing to put in some effort, installing Linux may be a good idea. This can bring a new lease of life to ageing hardware.
Linux runs faston the Mac, even when it is running under emulation in parallels because Linux is much less resource dependent.
